Having a op - Benefits entitlement???

Sorry if i waffle getting a little stressed cause OH is panicking!!!!

Basicaly he works full time and needs an operation at the end of this month to cure years of pain, employer hasn't given him a contract (that's a whole other saga) and wont give an assurances that he will get paid for the 4-6 weeks he's off.
Currently already on housing benefit, council tax benefit, Working and child tax credits.

Our worry is that he will get SSP, if so do we just need to contact the benefits we are already on so they can be adjusted for that period, or are we entitled to anything else????
Worried about how we will pay the rent etc...

Stress????

Thank you in advance
Im not financially savvy as im still learning but i love to support anyone that needs it and give virual hug's and tea!!!

If he goes down onto SSP just contact housing benefit and they can adjust your award and take into account your lower income for that short period
