I'm gay...they already are :D - always been a sucker for the 70's porno look, which has never gone out of fashion over there.

European lagers are usually nicer tasting the the UK licensed brews.
What's the furthest South store that B&M have?

B&M Bargain madness stores doing `Franziskaner Hefe-Weissbier` in 50cl bottles for 69p. Its a wheat beer and if you like Hoegaarden you might like this especially at that price. A reviewer from the oxford bottled beer database wrote "It is a golden/amber, cloudy beer with a thick, clinging, fine-bubbled head that lasts all the way to the end of the glass. Aroma is of vanilla and citrus fruit, along with some spicy, clovey notes and Juicy-Fruit bubblegum typical of the style. On the palate it is smooth and creamy, with just enough sparkle to make it lively on the tongue without being too gassy and maintaining a velvety smoothness. Light fruit (melon, lemon, a touch of lime) and vanilla flavours mingle with a subtle bitterness. There is very little sweetness and the finish is dry, leading into a slightly hoppy, vanilla aftertaste. A fine weissbier from Munich's oldest brewery."

    Sounds absolutely divine.

Best way to drink this stuff is how they do it in Belgium.
Freezing cold beer in a freezing cold (out of the freezer) glass
    Makes all the difference! yum!
(Or was it because I was in Belgium and would drink anything at the time...lol!)

You gotta love Kriek as well.....(yummy cherry/raspberry flavoured beer)
  • Asda selling Herold, czech lager from Breznice, for 1 pound for 500ml bottle. Good taste, malty sweet. Morrisons often sell The Krusovice at 99p which is well worth watching out for.

Got me 24 Herold yesterday & as soon as the antobiotics are gone, so am I!!

%00ml bottle is good for sharing (or keeping )too

I think these are the smaller sized bottles and in the case of the Hoegaarden, this means 33cl. Therefore, its just over £3.00 a litre, as compared to £1.38 a litre for the beer in the original post.

True but Hoegaarden and Leffe are my favourite bottled beers and there are no B&M stores near me also Leffe is about 6.5% so is a stronger beer.

Cougerslam if you go to Amsterdam again try St Christoffel an unfiltered dutch pils type lager which is great.
