How about tutoring, you mention you are studying, is it a field you could teach ie a language or something along those lines. I know private tuition can be well paid and they come to you!!!

  • I have actually thought about the tutoring thing - not sure how much demand there is for English and Creative Writing although I did speak to someone a while back who thought I could help out with a local group as voluntary work (well, its all experience innit?!)

Not sure how one gets into something like that. It seems there's no shortage of ideas out there, its just picking something that works I guess!

You could advertise in the local paper. When I was younger I had extra English tuition for the 11+. I think some schools still do it so you might be able to advertise for that or GCSE English. As long as you researched the cirriculum before so you were up to date (if you aren't already). What about IT, there are always people who want to learn more about computers.

Delivery driving can sometimes be costly as you need business class insurance if you use your own vehicle.
One day I might be more organised...........

  • Hi

Just before my daughter took her GCSEs' I got her some online tuition,

It was https://www.anysubject.com, they advertise for tutors all the time.
My daughter logged on to msn messenger, but any will do and had an hour at a time.
The tutor we used was busy before and after our lesson..
She had to have headphone with mike and webcam but we managed without.

I can't remember what we paid an hour I think it was £85 for 6 hours, so may be worth a try
At least you can work when you want.

It wasn't just school things, you could get a tutor for anything
  • More good ideas! I clearly have a lot of research to do- tutoring sounds interesting a sit would also look pretty good on my CV!

Seeing as I don't have a car, a lot of delivery driving isn't really an option- hope it helps someone else whose reading though.
    Thanks people
