Excuse me for asking but are you attractive? If so have you considered escort work? I know that the stigma attached to this sort of thing isn't great but things have moved on a lot from the old fashioned image that is often portrayed in the media. There is a lot of money to be made from accompanying business men out for an evening meal or perhaps giving company to older retired gentlemen. Of course there is also the option of making even more wonga with 'extras' but that is entirley at your discretion.

I do Body Shop at Home parties - it doesn't feel like I'm working because we just all have fun showing the products and having a girlie party. You have to buy your kit initially but there has been offers on lately to get the kit for half price (about £47) and you make that back in your first 1/2 parties. Best time to join is around now because Christmas is coming up and people buy presents and party makeup etc.
I used to average about £45-£50 commission for each party but the more preparation and effort you put into the party (ie coaching your host to get pre-party sales etc) the more you get out of it.
I'm also working full time and studying for a masters part time so this was one of the better routes for part time work because I could just do parties whenever I wanted to. I don't do as many anymore but I love all of the Body Shop stuff so if I stop doing them at least I have a full range of products I can keep.
PM me if you are interested and I can put you in touch with someone in your area.Debt at highest £8k

I'd like a 2nd job too. Not sure what though, there's no pubs round here unless you go into town centre... done the whole supermarket thing (was a Grocery Manager - yuk!). Driving sounds good, a good 2nd job doing driving/deliveries would be ideal£2 Coin Savings = £0.23

I work for a local catering company waitressing at weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, etc. I can choose when I work (although during the summer I work most Saturdays) and I earn anything between £25 & £80 per day. I know a girl that also works for the same company wrote a letter of introduction and sent it to all the catering companies in the area. You could try this.Total Debt November 2016 =£9,660.52
Monthly Repayments = £593.09
Goal to be debt free December 2017/ Savings £500 :T0 -
Wow- thanks for the response everyone- loads of ideas to play with there:
Going to look a bit more into the babysitting thing, see what there is around here.
The Body Shop thing sounds worth looking into too- I live near to their main headquarters so they're quite popular around this area.
Not sure about the escort thing, sounds like it could be a bit risky, and not sure how my OH would feel about it!! Interesting suggestion though- I did do some modelling for a local photographer when I was at college first time around, although its pretty erratic so doesn't pay as much as you might think (plus I've put on at least a stone since then and changed location)

Your contract may forbid it, particularly if your second job has any sort of connection with your main job (like in the same industry or whatever). Also, if your second job makes you tired or begins to interfere with your main job, your main job employers may have something to say about it.
Be careful about the tax issues too - again, if you change tax bands, I think your main job will find out about it, so it's best to be upfront if this is the case. Dependent on what you do as your second job, you may also need to register as self-employed and have to fill in a tax return at the end of each year.0 -
If you want evening work , contact the local service stations. I have worke din Shell and BP in the past. Pay not great , but over amonth I could do 80 -120 hours at £5.85 which soon added up.
I currenlt deliver takeaways which can be good if tips are good though sometimes tips dont exist.
Delta UK often advertise for phone book deliveries. Me and dad do these as some of the roads are a real pain . he drives up , drops off a pileof books I deliver to door. We do around 5 deliveris a year of books, catalogues , ikea etc.... earn £120 to £160 a time.
Jobcentre website sometimes has odd jobs advertised. I live near Brands Hatch and they often advertise for litter pickers. 12 hours hifts at £6.15 an hour but you get to seethe action as well.0
