I'm quite disappointed to find out this is about gardening, after reading the title.
It may work is the answer.Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.0 -
Lotus-eater, think about lawn mowing instead;)
I did a home trial many years ago of all sorts of things and Vaseline was one of them, worked fine until 2 days of rain, then needed to redo.
We get a lot of rain, so wasn't my fav product.
Copper tape...(ebay is good for it) worked well all season but only lasted 1 season.
Crushed egg shells worked very well.
I put down some £land weed suppressing stuff around each plant in its pot, put egg shells on top of it, this stopped them vanishing into the soil which they did after a few waterings/rain.
12 eggs to a plant was the min, 24 eggs was fab.
I had a local baker at the time who cooked fresh bread/cakes each day, he agreed for a few weeks to put all his egg shells into a pot for me but I had to collect by the end of each day due to H & S, no way could we get through enough eggs in the few weeks in spring that I wanted to get them onto my pots.0
