would recommend the tkts booth at Leicester Square http://www.tkts.co.uk/ they sell tickets on the day for shows, manly depends on what show you want to see but the majority are available at half price or less

I always buy tickets directly from the (online) Box Office of whichever theatre I want to visit. That can work out cheapest as long as you book in advance.

The free Metro newspaper always has discount codes for various productions.

Don't forget to ask where the seats are, as a general rule of thumb you want Stalls or Dress circle for the best seats

just used nationalexpress coach 2for1 offer-but only available with valid bus ticket so bought £1 saver tickets for the date needed to get around that .
