Some smart alec has managed to change my account name from my normal email address to a dodgy foreign one. I have managed to get it changed back pretty quickly, but in the time it took the hacker has downloaded a song charged at 99p which has been debited from my bank.

My question is - if you go into your iTunes account and go to edit payment info, can you see your full card details that were saved or are they partially encrypted? I am now wondering whether this muppet has been able access to my full card details, as if so I need to change my card/bank account.

It's only the last 4 numbers of the card that are visable.

Edit: They won't have your card detials but they can make a purchase if they have your password since itunes will automaticly use the card detials it has stored on the system.

I had my account hacked yesterday, and a fiver's worth of credit nicked. See THIS article from Bitterwallet yesterday. It seems like Apple have some massive security problems at the moment. :mad:

It is for this reason I deleted all payment details from my iTunes acount a few months ago, now if you want to purchase via my account you need to put in new card details.
