Hi All,
Just checking on this one.
I went to Carphone Warehouse last week and took out a new phone contract, the one with the free 32"LCD TV.
TV has begun playing up and is now not switching on most times, and when you eventually do get it to turn on it switches itself off unexpectedly.
It is the same as if I had purchased TV at CW isnt it ? i.e. go back to them not the TV manufacturer?

Well, I spoke to CW this morning, and they tell me that because its a free gift then Samsung have to send out an engineer because they dont carry replacement TVs.
So, I phoned Samsung, who were very helpful, and said they would arrange a repair, but that since it was less than 28 days old why dont I demand a replacement from the retailer ?!!!
Phoned back to CW, they say definitely not - cant do replacement.
Spoke to CAB who basically confirm I am well within my rights here.
Anyway, spoke to O2 - I am still within my 14days change your mind part, so gonna take the phone and TV to CW this afternoon and tell them to shove it.0 -
Just to double check I phoned CW customer service line and got the same spiel as in the shop. So took the TV and phone over, guy instantly starts ranting about how I shouldn't have brought the TV to the shop and that he was only going to ring for an engineer for me. He sort of stopped in his tracks when I said - "No you're not going to do that, cos I'm within my 14 days and you can take the lot back"
As an aside, my son had started to use the phone with his PAYG simcard, he had it 3 days and marked the battery cover - I could have killed him ! Anyway, went to another CW shop in town and bought the phone on PAYG, (paid a massive £19.95), swapped the battery cover and hey presto one unused phone again, even swapped the plastic sticky protective covers for effect!
(Yes I know that the phone was supposed to be unused, ssssssshhhh, just me and you know right ?)
