Hi there,
I am thinking about purchasing a laptop and have seen an offer at PC World for a TOSHIBA EQUIUM L100-186 at £399.
Can anyone advise as to whether this is a good laptop in terms of spec and a good price?
I will use the laptop to access the internet, Microsoft Office etc. It won't be used for games etc.
Thanks in advance

You do know that it only comes with works, not office..?
It looks quite snazzy..(that's my expert technical opinion)
It's a bit low on ram, but you could add that later. https://www.crucial.com XP needs 512 to work smoothly.Ever get the feeling you are wasting your time? :rolleyes:0 -
It's OK but there are similarly specced laptops around for £299 and Pentium-M laptops for a similar price. With Toshiba you tend to pay a bit for the name.0

grahawk is correct but the name of toshiba in laptops goes a long way and they produce very high quality cases which are quite robust.
The specs are lower than what you can get from other makes but for what you intend to use it for a celeron m 1.6 is fine more memory would help but 256MB will again do what you want. performance wont be ground breaking but It will be fine running a few apps and internet windows at once.0
