Wheelchairs
Options
Does someone know of a charity that accepts wheelchairs please?
I have two which were given to me when I was waiting for my hip operation. both are nearly complete/heavy and maroon in colour.
I live in London N14. You would have to collect as I am disabled.

Age Concern and Help the Aged (now merged and called Age UK) will be thrilled to have them and will happily collect from you.
My local AC has a wheelchair loan service and always needs more wheelchairs to meet the demand......................I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)

I would of thought the red cross. They've always helped my family out when we've been in need of wheelchairs.
I know somebody said freecycle - but just remember its not necessarily going to somebody who actually needs it.0 -
You could also try the British Legion as they use them when they take people out on trips. We borrowed one last year when my OH had a knee replacement operation0
