volvo sc805 code

I,m finding it almost impossible to get the code for my radio. I phoned a volvo maindealer and they did give me the code based on my car reg. (for free)! But unfortunatly this did not work so cant be the original radio. It seems it needs to be sent off for decding but cant even find company to do this. Help!!!

    It'd be silly if someone has coded it with another number as Volvo garages will generally give the code out for free.
