Hi everyone,
Just wondering here whether you guys think this will affect my next payment, or have any advice.
I'm on the 'Old New Deal' at the moment. I am up to the option stage and for my option i took up the self-employment route. I've been doing the self-employment thing for six weeks now, and it was due to finish on 30th July.
Yesterday morning i had an appointment with my New Deal Personal Adviser and he asked me how it was going. I was honest with him and told him it wasn't going as well as expected and i'm looking for jobs instead. He told me to have a word with the business provider later that afternoon as i had an appointment with him.
The appointment with the business provider went fine. I told him that i'd seen my NDPA earlier that morning and that i'd let him know it wasn't going as well as i'd hoped, and that my NDPA had said to have a word with him. The business provider was fine about it and said not to feel bad about it as at least i've had a go and it's something that can go down on my CV. I now don't need any more appointments with the provider guy.
I phoned my New Deal Personal adviser to let him know what the provider guy had said. My NDPA then said he'll see me at my next appointment on 21st to sign me back on to New Deal.
What i'm concerned about is this. My next payment is due on 17th. I don't see my NDPA until 21st to sign back on New Deal as he's off next week. Will the fact that i've finished my option before it was due to finish affect my next payment going in before i see my adviser?

Hello. When the option finishes, you have to re-register for Jobseeker's Allowance and complete a new claim. Phone your Jobcentre for advice to make sure your payments are not delayed. You probably will deal with a new claims advisor after the option finishes, rather that anyone at New deal. Hope that helps.

All sorted now, and it is still my current New Deal advisor that i see.
I phoned him yesterday, and he tried to get through to the business provider that i was seeing but there was no answer, so my NDPA left him a message.
Anyways, my New Deal advisor phoned me back this morning and said that the business provider has now closed my claim down. I have an appointment tomorrow afternoon with my advisor to put me back onto JSA.
