Wrong email address linked to paypal account

What do I do now?
Bought an item and the 6th and paid for it on the 6th.
Got an email from the seller saying once I had paid they would send. Let them know I had paid and status was 'unclaimed'.
Get an email today saying paypal is working for them, still no money from me.
Emailed back and asked them confirm email address I had got when I went through and checked out.
Reply back saying that is the wrong email address and they have given me the correct one.
Do i cancel my payment that is unclaimed? Will i then not be charged for that at all?
How do i pay the seller with this new email address? Do i do it through paypal and will it therefore be deemed as a transaction outside of ebay and will i be covered by ebay if something goes wrong?
