New Tesco Store not on website, where to go now!

Just found out there is a new Tesco Extra store opening near me and according to the Job Centre website they are looking for staff.
Perfect!
The Job Centre site says to visit tesco-careers site and to follow the new stores link. Well there is nothing on there and it was only posted on the job centre site 3 days ago!
Tried emailing the link on the careers site, but it's a dead email.
Where can I go next to try and contact them?

Contacted them. They say 'you have to apply via the website'. I explain the situation and they say 'oh sorry nothing we can do'.Green and White Barmy Army!0

Seems you're a bit stuffed then! But at least you're in no worse a situation than any other candidates. I'd suggest continuing to check the website a couple of times a day for when they update it. Or contact their head office (in Cheshunt), ask for the HR Department and see if you can get anyone there to help you.0

you may well find that tesco have already had enough applicants, and they have removed the link from their website

HR is a good idea
I've been checking it randomly for the last week or so anyway, and it's never been on there. The Job Centre advert only appeared on the 4th.Green and White Barmy Army!0 -
When new Tesco's opened here (we have had a few in past few years!) they would have posters in the windows of the stores with info on how to apply a few weeks/months before they opened.

From memory all it is on the website is the application form to print out unless its different for new stores... good luck anyway ive been trying for months to work for them!0

hey
as an ex employee of one of the tesco call centres i can say that sometimes they do not update their websites as often as they should do. May be worth getting in touch with the customer service number they are usually able to help with anything, plus its a free phone number so nothing to loose.
Good luck xx0 -
I've asked at my Morrisons so many times over the last 9 years for an application form (at cust service desk) they always say that they're not taking on staff at the moment. But there's new staff there all the time. I reckon staff are hired on a 'who you know' basis.
