Cost of Patio and Building Garden Wall

Does anybody know what the going rate is for a bricklayer to build a garden wall?? Also how much for a patio to be laid per square metre??

Prices vary dramtically on the above, we have already been stung by a cowboy and had to sack him.......

Without knowing the cost of the materials you are expecting to be used it's impossible to say. Flags can vary in price and does the area need digging out, leveling, old surface moving/breaking, disposing of, hardcore and then compacting so on and so on etc...?

I recently had a brickie build me a double skin garden brick wall about 12 metre long and 7 brick high and it took him and a young labourer a day. However I bought all the materials, supplied my mixer and just paid their wages which worked out at £150 for the day in total for both of them.

He charges the same for flagging if all materials are supplied.
