Royal Mail Rant!

I've bottled this up for far too long!
I live next to an alleyway and for sometime now the postman has been leaving parcels on my doorstep in full view of everyone passing instead of returning them to the sorting office - obviously can't be asked to fill in a piece of card! The straw that broke the camels back was my OH's birthday present - a watch worth over £100.
The postman also takes it upon himself to sign for my recorded delivery items before either putting them through the letterbox if they will go or again, leaving them on the step.
Why has he started doing this recently? Is this now 'company policy'.
So far I haven't had anything go missing - but it's only time considering the graffiti which has started appearing on our road from the neighbouring estate....

You've been bottling this up for so long and when you finally pop your outlet is to type a post on here?
I may be way off the mark here but to you think you should direct your newly-released fury towards the Royal Mail complaints department so that they can warn/discipline the postman in question so that he stops leaving your expensive parcels in full view of passers by?
I also adore the snobbish "graffiti from the neighbouring estate" remark!

What are you doing on the Rants Board if no-one is allowed to?0

Besides no one has said you're not allowed to rant, I've merely pointed out that now that your "bottled up" frustration over the postman's activities has been released it would be more productive to first contact Royal Mail and get the matter sorted than to write a post on an internet forum.
All the ranting in the world on MSE is not going to stop the postman leaving your parcels in full view of the graffiti-can toting louts prowling around outside your home.
I'm on your side here not the postman's!

That phrase doesn't make sense.

I think that the OP is aware of this. It is sometimes good to air the problem on a public forum, for people to get their heads straight, and work out the best way to deal with the issue. That is the reason for this board.Best Regards
