I've just bought a new laptop with home and student office edition, which doesn't include Outlook.

Does anybody know where i can get a cheap genuine copy or an equivelent programme, with email, calender and contacts?

Many thanks.

Windows Live Mail can do that, and it's free.

I use Mozilla Thunderbird as my OE alternative. The layout is very similar. By the way, if it has XP Pro on it then it comes with fully working OE as standard.

Incidentally you need to install the Lightning add-on to Thunderbird to get the calendar functions. It's easy to do and works well.

If I tell you who I work for, I'm not allowed to help you. If I don't say, then I can help you with questions and fixing products. Regardless, there's still no secret EU law.

gmail is fine as long as you don't mind forwarding the content of every email you send and receive to everyone at Google.

Yeah, this is why i was after Outlook or similar, rather than an online service.
