Forming a Limited Company whilst on Jobseekers Allowance!!

I'm currently on Benefits (Jobseekers Allowance & Housing Benefit).
I've been doing some self study about buliding websites.
I feel confident I can build half decent sites quite cheaply.
I've built some sites for friends and family for free and i'm getting some positive feedback.
I've started getting enquiries from other people/small businesses via my contacts.
This could be a the start of something..........
It's clear that I need to form a Limited Company, as some of the enquiries i've been getting would prefer it If I was trading as a Limited Company ( with registered address, Business bank account, 0844***Number.
Like I said I'm on Benefits and I don't want to do anything that will affect my Benefits or get me in trouble!!
Has anyone got any information to steer me in the right direction
Please advise .............
Thanks!!

so basically you appear to want to still claim benefits and run a company !This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

Or to take steps to get off benefit? You can't really expect someone to go from benefit to a profitable income with no support.
OP - speak to the jobcentre, they may be able to advise on what you can/cannot do and what help you may be able to get.0 -
If the job generates no income, and you work no more than 15 hours a week, then there isn't an issue, as long as you are genuinely looking for a job at the same time. However as soon as it does become a money making exercise, then you need to declare any income. Between 16 and 30 hours you have to live on whatever income is generated from the business ie you won't qualify for JSA. Once you are working more than 30 hours a week you then qualify for tax credits.0

I'd advise also getting details on what it will mean tax wise.
As a director of a Limited Company you will be an 'employed-earner' and an employee of the company rather than self-employed. This means paying Class One NIC's etc.0 -

Agreed, I spoke to the job centre about this before as couldn't get a job for a while. There can be local workshops that offer you advice (not run by the job centre) on setting up your own business and HMRC also run workshops on tax etc for people setting up businesses.
I think you also used to be able to get some benefits for an initial time as well if you set up your own business.0
