i have just posted this on another thread about century financeyou will need to write to them and ask for the money back, they can retain £5.00 of the fee.
These companies have been at this game for a long time now, it is sort of a scam, some people do choose to run with a loan they find you from someone like flm loans perhaps who require a home owner to be a guarentor for the loan.
But nearly all of them follow the lines of:
"congratulations you have been approved, all i need is your credit card number to varify your id" - they will then steal the fee.
"we need a admin fee to do the credit check" - complete bull crap, they just want to nick your cash.
"you will have the loan documents in 7 days - we just need the processing fee" - again a load of poop
old faithfull is, "the money will be in your bank in 5 days we guarentee it - you just need to pay the arrangement fee" - yawn, full of it.
"all you need to do is phone this 09 number you will be billed 1.50 a min, if they cant give you a loan send your phone bill in and we will refund you etc etc" - horse balls.
the list is endless, the bottom line DO NOT PAY A BROKER TO FIND A LOAN FOR YOU, THEY WILL NOT GIVE YOU WHAT YOU WANT AND IT COULD TAKE MONTHS TO GET YOUR MONEY BACK.
What you need to do: write to the company that have taken the money, ask for the fee back, they may refund you they may not, they are legally allowed to keep £5.00 of what you have paid, so they win everytime, you on the otherhand do not.
I still cannot believe so many people can be so nieve about these companies, even after they have been featured on watch dog, and are all over this forum, the cag forum etc yet time and time again people crop up on here posting saying they have been scammed.
dont fall for it guys and gals, just remember do not pay an upfront fee for a loan.:j:beer: :j0 -
I would like to say 2 things.
1) To all the "You are an idiot" people, people come on here for advice, and help not for someone else to make them feel even worse than they already do!
2) Heritage and the one's that scammed me, More financial are all under the wing of Yes loans according to the Heritage complaints blurb. How do this company keep trading?0 -

Because people keep throwing money at them without conducting a 20 second Google search.0 -
First I would like to second the first statement from 'richard12345'.
My two pence to this :
I can not understand for the life of it why some 'trolls' have to make people worth? It could end up in something serious if someone feels real down and in need. Most of us here, including me, have done stupid things and some have to pay a very hard price for it, but by coming here at least they seek help and try to get back on their feet.
Trolls should be moved off the board. Flame me, I can take it. This is my opinion and mine alone as I am the one who is stating it. I just hope that the trolls never come in a similar situation.
Now to the OP: Do yourself and others a favour and inform the consumer direct and the fraud agency. I know it may seem a pain but it is only a few minutes. You can make with reporting them a serious step towards taking them out of business. Think about the people that may not know where to turn for help. If every company that is not squeaky clean then they should be investigated and if they pray on the vulnerable and the ones that have no where else to turn to and should be reported wherever someone finds them.
So PLEASE report them!
If you need any further help either come here (I know I am 'new' but I was lurking for over a year and yesterday I had to voice my advise so I registered and have hardly stopped typing since then) or just PM me and I get back a.s.a.p.
I am no pro and do not get paid, in fact I am disabled and have been through a lot in my life and by now I see at long last at the end of the tunnel with only my mortgage and one more loan.
I still be behind with some other payments but I am catching up fast.
I was once in the situation where others could have taken advantage but was always given advise, sometimes good , sometimes irrelevant or outdated (Tixi updated me a bit and I am grateful for that) so I guess it is now my time to repay all the help and advise I got in years and help in here.Getting there! Thanks to you guys0 -
Wind your necks in people. Until Richard1234 trolled this thread with his Yes Loans reference, it had been dead for nearly a year.
Seems like this forum is getting a lot of activity from SEO agencies recently.0
