Options
I have submitted a loan with Heritage Financial based in Basingstoke, Hampshire who have advised that a loan has been processed. I have had to send £60 processing fee roughly 3 weeks ago.
I have called and emailed them and only getting through now and again. I have asked them to check on there computer system to see when the loan will be processed, they say they cant as it gets processed through another company. I really feel i have been scammed what is my next step and how do i find out for definate
any help is greatly appreciated

Yes, most likely you have been scammed as per the thousands of similar posts on this site.0

any ideas of what to do next.
I've spoken to the company in the last hour who have advised that there is no Advisor able to take my call at the moment.
I've told them that i think it's a scam company and they dont seem to bothered0 -
There are hundreds, if not thousands, of posts on here about this. In short, never pay an upfront fee to a broker for a loan. You can surf the web for nothing yourself to look for loans, and no decent broker will ask for an upfront fee as they are paid commission by the lenders. You should be able to get most of your fee back, less £5 that they are allowed to keep, but you may have to be very persistent.I used to think that good grammar is important, but now I know that good wine is importanter.0

Shall i just keep onto them about giving my money back then.
Do i need to advise the authorities or anything
thanks0 -
Just keep on nagging them, but don't fall for the scam of being kept on hold on a premium rate non-geographical number. Even the 0845 ones mount up. It is probably best to write recorded delivery, then they can't pretend they haven't heard from you. Threatening them with the FSA or Trading Standards might help things along, but in the end Heritage have done nothing illegal.I used to think that good grammar is important, but now I know that good wine is importanter.0

Has anyone got any more info? Email address, website, actual address or location?
I too have been stiched up, and today trying to call them i just cant get through. I only had two numbers, to start with advisors seemed pleasant but then started getting nasty and rude, got that feeling your being lied to, you know.. but I have today spoken to trading standards who need more info, which at the moment i cant see to find so can anyone help and maybe we can get somewhere??
Thanks0 -

I did exactly the same yesterday with a company called Century finance and was asked for a fee of £69.95 after being told they had sourced a loan of £2000 for me. The telephone number of BOTH companies Heritage and Century is EXACTLY the same.
It seems to me, after asking to cancel last evening, by Email, with no reply yet that these companies are SCAM .
I am concerned that I behaved stupidly by giving them my credit card details. Hopefully they will either not take the payment or, if they have then it will be reimbursed but ,based upon several forum responses to these companies I am not holding out too much hope.
Will they attempt to take out mutiple payments, having my credit card details? Do I have any redress from the credit card company?
Any help much appreciated,
Thanks, Jan0
