Makeup suitable for festivals

I'm going to a festival in a month's time and really need to sort out my makeup. I want to take as little as possible but at the same time I'm used to wearing a full face of makeup.
My skin has always been bad so I need to take a concealer stick and a bit of powder, and I like to have a bit of lipstick and eyeliner. Does anyone know any good (and preferably cheap!) products that don't take up much space, and will make me look better when I am grossly unclean?
I've been looking at the likes of customised compacts and 2 in 1 products like lip and cheek stains, but there's so much choice I have no idea what would be best.
Cheers!

maybe your skin is bad because you cover it in powder & stuff all day??
Why not fully embrace the "festival spirit" & wear a decent sun block & accent with either the aussie style coloured sun block in streaks on the nose/cheeks, or the obligatory mud?
If you insist ontaking makeup, then cleansing wipes will be your friend, and an eyeliner pencil & a lipstick won't take much space up!0 -
If you must take make up, how about a waterproof mascara, some kind of bronzing face gel or tinted moisturiser to give you a bit of colour/sheen, and maybe a sparkly liquid eyeshadow in a nude tone, like this?

Remember to only take with you things you wouldn't mind losing! Don't bring your favourite £30 foundation for example! lol ELF is good for cheap products, and surprisingly good quality I think.

I've had my leg pulled something rotton for putting my make up on at a festivals. And there was much laughter when I retired for the afternoon to wash my hair! You could just do a tinted moisturiser and mascara, possibly a bit of lipbalm. Go for the no make up - make up look?0

I knew someone would say that
FYI I have facial scars I'd prefer people not to see- make up won't make them any worse, but will make me feel a lot more confident. Really was just hoping for some advice on make up that isn't going to melt if it's sunny- certain brands of eyeliner and lipstick are very sloppy.
Thanks Max and Flippin. I like the look of tinted moisturiser- and all the ELF stuff actually. Their little compacts are really cheap and wouldn't take up any space! I totally agree, see no reason why I should give up all makeup for a long weekend if I'll feel more comfortable that way!0 -
Hey, you don't need to justify yourself to anybody girl!

Don't forget lipbalm! Preferably with an SPF, and sunblock! And a hat! lol
And wellies....well, it IS summer in the UK after all....:D0 -
When I got to V I am wearing makeup!! I'm with you on this one!
Some of the skincare brands do tinted moisturiser and they usually do free little sachet testers, my friend works in a dermalogica salon and they do little sachets which you can take home to test the colour & get a feel for it. I'm nabbing a couple of them for my V pack!! (I am also taking a cheap powder to pop over the top though as it can be a bit shiney)

Thank you, I wish I was the kind of girl who could get away with not wearing makeup, but it's never going to happen! I got badly burnt last year as well, stupidly thought I'd be alright as it wasn't sunny... I looked like a clown my poor nose was so red  I'll definitely be getting myself some SPF lip balm and SPF tinted moisturiser to go with my sun block... I've also got a hat and parasol so I'm taking no chances
And of course, last year's wellies will probably get more use! 0 -

I am glad it's not just me! Whenever I go to festivals the girls around me are always so glamorous- on the last day their hair and makeup is still immaculate and I'm usually hiding in my tent feeling hot and grubby!
Samples would be great as I find face stuff is often really dark on me- takes me ages to find the right shade and I've usually wasted a few pounds in the process
Thanks! 0 -
Dry shampoo is also really good to take to festivals. You can get mini tins of batiste in asda for cheap.
As for makeup not melting, i'd wear a mattyfying face primer under your makeup to stop shine. I use Avon magix face perfector.
I always wore makeup at festivals as I had bad acne (on medication which is sorting it out now). I didn't know about dry shampoo at the time when I used to go to leeds so I actually had to queue for the showers and let my hair dry all frizzy lol
Ps, i use the brunette batiste from superdrug if I ever need to de-grease my hair quickly and it's good
Oh and baby wipes/make up remover wipes instead of bottles etc are essential

Thanks for this, really informative! I need to get the brunette one as the one I have already is the old white version. I'll keep an eye out for the mini cans as they'd be perfect :T
I think I'll have to splash out on some decent 4 in one cleansing make up remover wipes, I know my skin will not thank me for not washing it over three days!
