Creative Labs Inspire T7900 7.1 Speakers System

I have just purchased from Ebyer a Creative Labs Inspire T7900 7.1 Speakers System - I have connected everything up and booted up the computer.


The computer boots normally but I hear no sounds whatsoever.


Can anyone help me please?

What soundcard are you using, how do these connect to the soundcard and have you checked your soundcard mixer/volume to check the main out has not been muted.

Assuming your volume isn't muted and your plugging into the soundcard line out it should be just a case of making sure your connected properly to the volume control and then to sub. Of course with a basic soundcard that only supports 2.1 sound you won't get 7.1 surround sound so I'm not sure of the value of having seven speakers.

What you need to do is, go to Control Panel, Sound and Audio Devices, Audio Devices, and make sure your new speaker set is selected on the default speakers..
