setting up a DD problem
I got a huge combined gas & electric bill from Npower ,originally i told them that i would pay them weekly with a payment card but rang up today to set up a DD .I have to pay £240 every month my first payment will be due on 28th June .
The problem being i thought my first payment would only be due 28th July cause we are already a quater through June its alot for me to find by the 28th ,im i right ?? should the direct debit have only be set up for 28th July ?

You do realise that today is the 8th of June, not of July? No, I do not think you are right. Where would you get that idea from?
If you are not able to may this month why would you be able to pay next month (or, rather, how would you pay the following month?)0 -
They can setup a direct debit within 10 working days of the date it has been setup. If you had intentionally arranged for the payments to commence from 28th July, then the monthly payments may turn out to be more than £240 per month as there will have been about 2 months before you have actually paid them and the "missing payment" may will be spread out throughout the rest of the monthly payments over the following year.0

Hi,
are your wages paid in at the end of the month, if so, phone them up and ask to change DD to first of month.0 -
If you can't pay on the 28th June, phone npower now and ask them to reset the date. If you are struggling to pay ask them if they will spread the debt part of your DD over a longer pay back than 12 months.
Good luck0
