Problems with Mazda Service Plan

Has anybody else had problems with a Mazda Service Plan?

I had a plan on the new car I bought & now the dealer I bought it from has ceased trading. The Mazda UK customer service team have told me that I should be able to transfer it to another Mazda dealer but that dealer is now telling me that there is no money left in the plan - my £450 which I have paid in has gone!

Has anyone had a similar experience & what did you do?

Thanks for your help

VW have a similare scheme it seems, and irrespective of the servicing dealer, the money is held centrally and given out when the dealer claims for it against a service. Your details will be on a database with Mazda and you should be able to go into any dealer to get a service using the scheme. Who says the money is gone?

A car is a most important investment for all car owners. Keeping this in mind it is also important to do a common periodical servicing for your car so that you will be able to identify any problems that may arise and can fix it at the earliest. Select a Mazda car service centre near you to quickly identify and repair the problem if any persists.

What TiTheRev says is right, the money should be held centrally. Fords Service Plan monies are held by an insurance company called QBE and as Ford and Mazda are quite closely linked then it's possible QBE look after Mazda as well. Click this link http://www.qbeeurope.com/motor/products/product.htm to take you to a load of contact numbers and e-mail addresses.

What other deals do is irrelevent.

The OP needs to look out the terms and conditions of the service plan. If the money was held by that dealer or has been spent by that dealer then the OP is a creditor and needs to take the correction action dependent on the type of trader they are.

Mazda may for PR reasons honour it but there is little that can be done if they choose not too and are not legally liable.

OP look out the terms and go from there.

I believe investing on a car is not a small issue, it is probably one of the most important steps you will ever have. I suggest it is better to contact the Mazda Corporation, so that you may get the solution there.
