Convert computer program

I have produce a musical virtual firework display for a friends wedding using a free software program called FWsim 1.0.

I now want to save it in such a way that my friend can view it on their computer without downloading the software.

Can you advise this limited technically minded middle aged man is this possibe and if so how do I do it. Also would it be possible to burn it to a dvd so that they could watch it on their tv.

Any suggestions greatfully received.

To convert your project to a video you need to click Tools -> Render as Video.

The choices you have to save as will depend on what video codecs are installed on your PC. All PC's should have .avi by default so you can save it as that and send it to them (although the file could be quite large)

Most DVD authoring programs will convert .avi to DVD so you could do it that way.

Otherwise, the Help on their website advises how to install the Xvid codec which will give you more control over the quality (and reduce the file size). However if you send that file to your friends PC they will need the Xvid codec.

There are programs available that will convert the Xvid file to DVD as well.
