Sticking central heating pump

My central heating pump supllied by a Potterton Suprima boiler is constantly running even when hot water and heating is off. I have temporarily just cured it by looking on the net and someone advising to run heating for 1 min then turn heating off again. The heating system is around 7 years old. This seems to have worked. Anyone know what is causing it? Thanks in anticipation.........

The only way the pump can run is if there is an electrical supply to it, I can only suggest a faulty control unit not switching off the pump supply.0

The pump is controlled by the Suprima pcb, so the 240Vac to run it is coming from that. It could be a faulty pcb, notorious with these boilers.0
