I am thinking of redoing my recipe collection into oven temperatures, so it would be easier to batch bake and make good use of oven space. I am not sure how easy it will be!
I have been trying to create a MS Works database of recipe title and which book or folder it is in, with category and oven temperature/timings. I try to do 20 recipes each morning before I do anything else. At current rate of progress it will never be finished  and my sons will have left home and I won't need to cook so much anymore :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: And this is without typing out the actual recipes!

My recipes are very organised : I have files with plastic pockets. The files are Sweet File (sub divided into puddings/cakes and biscuits/tarts and puds/Christmas), Lunches/Snacks File, Favourites File (many sub divisions eg general/roasts/bread/sauces/Christmas etc), and then my main files are Winter and Summer Files which are sub divied into the months of the year. I get Good food mag every month and tear out any recipes I want to try - they then go into the relevant month (e.g. we are on Winter - Feb at the moment). When I meal plan I go to this month and look through - this helps me to use seasonal fruit/veg etc. I also put a comment with every recipe I try as to how tasty/how easy/what variations I made.
If the recipe is yuck/too much hassle etc I just bin it. If it is AMAZING it goes into the Favourites (general) section. That's where I go when I have no inspiration in "this month".
I also get recipes from here (loads). I copy them, and print them off and just add them to this month in the file.

Edited to say : I also have recipe books - I just put a sticky post it on the page of any recipes I want to try, and add them to the menu plan

    Mortgage-free Glee!
I have a couple of fave cook books, the others I decluttered a while ago( no point not being enjoyed and gathering dust).

Recipes gathered on the net are pasted into word and then printed when used. If I like it, the sheet is then placed into a polypocket and filed. Its a plastic book type file thing so is great to use in the kitchen.

Like the idea of the mastercook ....... someone slap me before I buy it!!!!! .....I dont need it ..... I dont need it.... I think I want it though!!!:D
