LLB distance learning - anyone?

Just wondered if anyone had completed a LLB at University of London or Nottingham Trent University. I've been looking at the distance learning options & would appreciate being able to talk to anyone who has taken this route.
Thanks in advance

Purely for the academic challenge (but don't want to close off any avenues either). Have you any advice?

Then it sounds good. I did my LLB full time at Uni followed straight after with LPC and into a training contract.
My concern would be that if you wanted to pursue a training contract or pupillage afterwards, a lot of employers may be put off by the fact that you have done the course by distance learning. Not saying they have a point but the legal profession is still an old fashioned beast and there are a lot of graduates chasing relatively few opportunities.
Good luck anyway!0 -

I cannot speak for other courses, but I know that no one from my year who wanted to pursue professional training had problems securing a training contract. It should also be noted that, should you not wish to state the mode of study to a potential employer, the degree certificate simply states the award, DL is not mentioned. I did not pursue the professional route, but had several interviews and did receive an offer, but my method of study was never questioned at interview stage.
Zziggi, I'll PM you now.

Fair point. To be honest a lot depends on the firms. Some firms are still very 'snobby' in that they recruit only from universities they know.
Would certainly agree that doing LPC part time is not so much of an issue.0
