Last night, in the wee small hours, I decided to do a spot of shopping, as you do.
I went online at woolworths.co.uk and was happy to find just the thing I was looking for, I put 5 items varying between £6 and £18 in my basket and got a total of about £60 then went to check out.
At check out I had to register, not a problem, until woolworths.co.uk decided it could not find my address. I know there have been sat-nav type maps which thought half of my road didn't exist (half of it isn't on Google Earth either) but I'm not in that half. For good measure I tried a neighbours address which is definately not in that half- not found. So I tried a few other addresses... None of them found. Urgh.
A couple of hours later I tried again, same problem, expect I had to take 20 mintes to go through and find all the different things again because they were not still in my basket. Well the address thing was till not working.
Nor the next morning.
So tonight I rang them, on thier revenue-generating 0844 number, so try to order. You guessed it- it wasn't good! He said how can he help, I said "I am trying to make an order but it wont recognise my address so I am calling to order over the phone". He said "have you got an account". I said "no, I was trying to [...]" he interupted me. He said "The first thing you need to do is make an account yeah", like I was the bigest idiot going. I took a deep breath and replied "and how can I do that without it recognising my addess". He obviously found that difficult to comprehend and said he would put me through to the IT department. Instead he cut me off.
Like a Muppet I called back, like a Muppet I got the same treatment.
Woolworths have made it impossible for me to use thier "store" at all!
So I thought I'd come and have a d*mn fine moan and let you all know how shoite I think that are.
Ok, done. Carry on as you were.

As a general rule my spelling/typing is intermittent (I have a diagnosis of a condition which produces dyslexia-like symptoms but irregularly). Also though, paradoxically, my knowledge of how to spell is fairly good. If I make an error I can see it afterwards if I am trying to, which is not always the case for people with true dyslexia. I do not always proof read what I write, however I always double check information which requires accuracy, such as my email address or postcode.
I am very aware of my condition and the affect on my clarity, thus my first reaction when it didn't return a result was to check and double check what I had written.
My apologies for the length of this answer, I felt it important to respond honestly. In summary, no I'm not always happy with my spelling but on this occasion I am entirely satisfied that it was not my own mistake."I, on the other hand, am a fully rounded human being with a degree from the university of life, a diploma from the school of hard knocks, and three gold stars from the kindergarten of getting the sh*t kicked out of me." ~ Capt.
