What a brilliant idea to grow savings! It's even better than the £2 jar. Every time I look at my online statement from now on I'm going to chuck the pence into my savings.
Brilliant!
Debt as at 12th July 2006 - £61,345
Debt free 21st Oct 2011.
All thanks to :money:0 -
I'm the same with my debt figure. I have to round it off each time I pay something off or it annoys me! Sad but true!January budget

But why not find a higher rate ISA and leave the cash there? Once you've withdrawn the cash from an ISA you can't have another one. And if you leave it in you keep the cash tax free for ever(or until the rules change lol) and can have an ISA for each tax year.CCs @0% £24k Dec 05 £19,621.41 Au £13400 S 12600 Oct £11,981 £9481 £7500 Nov £7250 D £7100 Jan 6950 F £5800 Mar£5400 May £4830 June £4660 July £4460 Aug £3200, S £900, £0 18/9/07 DFW Nerd 0420

I do the same.

At the end of the month after my standing order pays in and I have transferred my ebay/amazon/change funds across I round up my balance to an even amount in my savings account. I pay myself a small amount depending on funds a couple of quid and what ever the pence is to make a whole number.
As mad as it is it kind of encourages me to save (a bit more)
Boots Card - £17.53, Nectar Points - £15.06 - *Saving for Chrimbo*2015 Savings Fund - £2575.000 -
I check my co op cashminder account online everyday. All "loose change" gets transferred to my nat west step account - this is my account for unexpected expenses, Christmas etc.0

 :rotfl: :rotfl:
thought i was the only one who couldn't stand the amounts being "untidy" i always pay off the extra pence on cc payments to get rid of it and move money into my savings acount to round off my current account.
I just like to see nice round 00 balances on everything.:o
Just when you think it is all straight they add interest or take out a payment from the current acount and mess it up again:mad:
Must get a life:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I generally save my pennies by a big pot by the side of the bed, then every Xmas eve I go out and get smashed out of my skull on a bottle of cheap Vodka from costcutters. Got into a spot of bother last year though, the filth caught me weeing through the neighbours letterbox!
