Patterned concrete driveway - rough price ?

Can anyone give me an idea on the price I can expect I pay for a patterned concrete driveway, it must be cheaper than having it block paved, isn't it? 160m2 in size.
Thanks

    I think I got quoted £50 to £55 per square metre.

    However, it's not exactly maintenance free as it requires re-sealing. My neighbours has also faded in areas where the car travels over it alot.

    Personally I've gone off the idea and I am no longer keen on the look of it.

    An interior designer friend was torn between patterned concrete for her kitchen floor, and expensive stone tiles. If I remember rightly, the tiles were the cheaper option. And once we read the concrete company website, which made it clear that if the hugely expensive floor cracked, it was just tough, we talked her out of it. And the tiles are lovely :)
    import this

    Imprinted concrete is the most hideous, artificial looking, jelly mould monstrosity that can be inflicted on a home.

    Normal block paving is at least 20% cheaper, and even some of the more expensive random paving or larger setts are cheaper than imprinted concrete.

    Traditional paving actually looks better with age, whereas imprinted concrete just looks as crap as it did when first laid. Don't do it ... think of the children

    I had exactly the same thoughts a few years ago when I had my drive relaid. The quotes I got were roughly the same for patterned concrete and block paving. In the end I went for block paving - I figured that if the stones get damaged / stained with oil or whatever, then it's pretty simple to replace just a few bricks, rather than dig up and replace the whole driveway. I also had the same thoughts behind "what happens if I ever need to get to the drains or water main under the drive" ( had to replace the water main earlier in the year, which is why it was on my mind ). So my overall thought was that block paving is easier to replace / patch up if it ever needs it.

    That's just my opinion, though :-)

    I was quoted £11,000 (honestly) to have this hideous stuff laid on my large drive/patio area. I nearly fainted when the guy told me the estimated cost. We had another quote for £8,000 for normal (plain ugly) paving stones, but we found a really good offer on this site (or maybe HUKD) and ended up buying 6 circular paving stone sets (2.4m diameter) from B&Q reduced from £180 to £50 each and we filled the gaps with gravel. It looks really lovely and cost a fraction of the cost of the jelly mould stuff.

    Really like this idea, but unfortunately my driveway has a steep slope and all the stones would probably end up at the end of the path !!

    My sister had hers done and it was quite expensive £4-£5k. I wouldn't have it as a gift. But there again, it takes all sorts to make a world. Think how boring it would be if we all liked the same thing.
    I can afford anything that I want.
    Just so long as I don't want much.
