VLC (free media player) can do it:

FFDShow should do it if nothing else does.

    Hello,

Use this free converter (based on the Sony Ericsson software) to change the .amr file into a .wav file that any PC can play.

The first should allow it to be played in Windows Media Player, the second is a standalone player. NiVZ's suggestion is probably best in your case.

Problem with AVS media demo it keeps adding a voice message "AVS Media Demo" during the converted recording.

That's because you've downloaded and installed the wrong program.
The one you should have downloaded is 'Mobile AMR Converter (v.1.5)'.
