Cheapest UV (black light) energy saving bulbs or UV spray (make your own)?

Hi moneysavers.
I want to organise a disco UV /glow party for my daughter. The owners of the venue said that at the last UV party, the organiser swapped the bulbs for energy saving purple ones that did the glow in the dark trick on florescent costumes and make up. Well ive found some energy saving ones for around £8 each, and i'm told that they are much better than the monofilamet ones that get hot.
Reading wiki, it appears that they are 'normal' low energy bulbs with a spray coating. Does anyone know where i can buy the laquer spray or find cheaper UV energy saving bulbs please?
Thanks!

UV fluorescents are the same as normal ones, but without part of the coating inside them. The coating shifts the UV to visible light, so as far as I am aware you can't just spray anything on.
I would say this though - you need a lot of UV to get an impressive effect - especially if it's going to be themed that way. I would strongly consider hiring several UV floods. It won't cost much, and you don't end up with a load of UV tubes you can't use!0
