Thanks for this thread, been thinking about false eyelashes for a while now.
I have heard the Girls Aloud ones in Boots are good, anyone confirm that?

HappySad, I dont really buy from ebay so cant advise you on a search term it seems to me that if you want longer lasting eyelashes the ones with the thicker strips are more hard wearing, its trial and error but the cheaper ones seem to be thicker, although not usually as cheap as 99p:DI just got lucky which is why I stocked up, I get at least a month of everyday wear out of each set, remember I cut them in half to each 99p pair makes two sets.

Foxy, I used to use the Cheryl ones from the Girls Aloud range and I really liked them, they also lasted about a month of everyday wear I only stopped using them because I wanted a diffrerent look, I would happily buy them again:)

Update on the revlon glue, I've used it a few times now and its excellent, you need much less than the Ruby and Millie and its totally waterproof, I cried at the tv the other day:o and the lashes didnt move and its easy to gently pull off the lashes before the next application:)

Yes you can get girls aloud ones in boots - they looked a little OTT to me, but I guess for a younger person they would be good.

Well thanks to you lot, I found some in a pound shop yesterday. Was over the moon with the price. They didn't have any glue with them, but i had some left over from my eyelure. They aren't as soft as my eyelure, they are kind of stiffer and less natural looking, but I guess they will hold their shape longer, time will tell.

The thing is I want to wear lashes everyday, but at £5 for 2-3 wears is impractical. I've looked on ebay and the bulk buys came in all different looks, most of which I probably wouldn't use because I like the natural look, even when I'm going out.

Glowgirl - I like your idea of cutting them in half, will practice with them today. At £1 I don't mind experimenting.

    Thanks for your suggestions

Flippin36 when you stick on your lashes when they are half, do you stick them on the outer part of your eye? Right to the edge or just closer to the outer edge?

I cut one lash in half and stick to the outer corners only going right to the edge, I use lashes that are considerably longer at the outer edge to get that swept up cats eyes look without having to use eyeliner, I use a touch of mascara before I put the lashes on, on the inner half of my top lashes so they blend with the falsies, I dont use mascara on the false lashes because it ruins them and I dont want to look overly made up but I dont do natural either;)

Does anyone get embassing moments when they fall or slide off or even start pealing off the sides?

Is it possible to do your own eye lash extensions like what you get in salons where it last for weeks to 2months. Any recommendations of products that I can buy to do this? Or I could ask a friend to do mine and we do each others as a fractions of the cost....
