Books From Carboots!

so pleased last week at our local carboot i picked up... "We'll Eat Again" priced at £6.99 and i got it for 20p!
before that i got Delia's ..."Christmas" looks brand new, priced at £14.99 got it for a £1.00. I could kick myself tho as they had .."Jamies dinners" and they wanted a fiver and i wanted it a little bit cheaper but she would'nt budge. so i let it go... now i regret it as was still such a bargain!

Does anyone else go to carboots to find these great book bargains...

  • I seldom pay more than 50p for car boot sale books. I have hundreds of books in my house, and I've never bought one new and at the published price in my life.

I got lots of paperback novels yesterday for 10p each, some of them were almost brand new. I also bought a very rare Terry Pratchett book for 50p and some text books for 3 for a pound. Some poor stall holders were asking silly money for books, there were several stalls that looked like they were first timers with nothing but books and videos and all priced up with daft prices..£1 for a novel..£1 for a video, yet the next stall would have 5 vids for a pound.

  • I bought around 12 or 13 books yesterday, including a nice Rick Stein fish cookery book for 50p and a thick history of art book for £2 which sold this morning on Amazon for £12 - very pleased

No - it's really easy (much more straightforward than eBay) and it's very addictive!! :o

One of my car boot buys from last weekend finishes on ebay today with 7 watchers and a bid already at £4.50, not bad for a 50p book.
