    Hi

I have barclaycard and they have been fine up to yet hopefully this will continue. Do you own your own house? How long is your dmp due to last?

    Regards

    Hi

Yes I have my own house and about 75% of the mortgage is paid off in 18mths. My DMP at present will last 9yrs 9mths but due to my mortgage reducing I will be able to increase my monthly payments and reduce the term of the DMP.

Yes, it's just a small form at the bottom of a letter sent to us by "Credit Solutions." The usual advice is to not sign anything with your original signature, then they can't copy and paste it onto some dodgy credit agreement later on. So I just signed my husband's name for him!

(With BIG thanks to Never-in-Doubt, who has a great thread on Unenforceability which contains lots of links for template letters for DCA harassment and so on.)

When you get time, have a look through some of the threads on here, you'll soon realise that you're not alone. Knowledge is power and I've gleaned so much useful information on here, debt collectors don't scare me now :D

Good luck with your DMP, it sounds as though you will be able to clear your debts in a lot less time than most of us! Don't have sleepless nights over it, after all, it's only money. Debt collectors have a lot less power than they'd have you believe, don't be intimidated by them. At the end of the phone is probably some spotty youth with bad breath and no girlfriend. That's what I always tell myself anyway :rotfl:
