I went to a seminar on Thursday for property investing. The company are called Inside Track. Does anyone have an objective opinion of them as to their services/whether I should join, etc??

Q: Can you give me some feedback on a company called Inside Track or Instant Access? I am preparing myself to lose about £29,000 on an off-plan property deal in less than two weeks!

A: Inside Track is a property investment company that offers courses and seminars to consumers who want to learn more about property investment. Courses are not cheap and opinion is divided as to whether they offer value for money - some investors swear by Inside Track's investment "secrets", while others believe you can get similar and cheaper information from any number of relevant books.
Generally, would-be investors are invited to a free two-hour workshop where some very basic information on investment is doled out, followed by a hard sell on additional courses that are not free. Whether or not you glean anything useful from the seminar or courses seems to be down to the individual.
Instant Access Properties is owned by Inside Track. It offers access to discounted off-plan property and assistance with the purchase process. Unsurprisingly, it encourages its members to attend the Inside Track property investment seminar.
Buying off-plan means purchasing property that is yet to be built. This is a procedure used by thousands of people every year, and generally offers good value for money. There are potential pitfalls though. If work doesn't complete on time, for example, you could end up making mortgage repayments on a property not yet ready to let out. Whatever I or anyone else thinks of Inside Track and Instant Access Properties, the golden rule in property investment is will it make any money? For example, if you plan to let it out, will it generate a rental income at least equal to the mortgage? If the answer is no, then walk away.

Don't waste your money - EVERYTHING you can learn at IT is in the public forum, there are no secrets to property investment that cannot be researched on the web. IT promise the earth, but, i know half a dozen folks who have got into serious financial difficulties as a result of valuations and rentals not stacking up once the properties are built. https://www.singingpig.co.uk is a great property website and a lot of discussions/criticisms had to be deleted as IT threatened the owner with litigation if he did not withdraw critical posts. Only be on there a short time but the people are very helpful.
Like anything though if you stick at it and want it bad enough you will get there in the end.

    Hi birdy,

If it is BTL you are interested in, then

    https://www.landlordzone.co.uk

is an extremely useful website. Their forum is a bit like a horror film for any potential Landlord, but can make one aware of the problems that can occur (and there are many)

Stay away from all 'Investment Groups' They are there to take your money. Simple as.

  • Sssh! I'll tell you the secret of making money. Buy low, sell high.

    Everything else is flim flam.

New build properties are increasingly being built to meet the demand of speculators, not homeowners. Avoid.

But welcome to the party. You're about 8 years too late, the booze has been drunk and the balloons are starting to look like old lady breasts, but welcome nonetheless!

Not Inside Track again. I assume you went to their pre seminar where they want you to sign up for a £2k (or whatever) course.

If anyone is serious about Inside Track, at least spend £30 buying the DVDs from ebay.

I'd personally take Mean Machine's advise, buy low sell high. Now the price is high, so don't buy!
  • If anyone is seriously interested in buying property, my wife is a Scottish franchisee of a discounted property network. At the moment she is looking for associates as the area is a little bit too big for her. her number is 07754207897.

The areas she has left are Angus South, Angus North, West of Perth and Crieff, NE Fife, Dunfermline, Cowdenbeath.

She won't flog you a £2k inspirational guru course , either.
