Star Alliance Credit Card, flight reward card?

Hi

I've earned some miles flying with Singapore Airlines and am on their frequent flyer program. I'm going to be flying to the US this year with one of the U.S. carriers in the Star Alliance (of which Singapore Airlines is one of them). I'm a few thousand miles short of upgrading my level which would mean not being charged extra for 2nd bags when checking in.

I'm just wondering if there is a credit card about that offers miles in the same way as Airmiles do for BA etc. I've had a look on the American express programmes to see if they offer miles as United and Continental are part of the Star Alliance. I just can't seem to find a credit card that would offer any Star Alliance perks (I'm hoping to get a credit card which will give me a few thousand worth of miles as introduction!)

Thats great, thanks. I'll have a look into that. I've got a feeling that they're just going to give you miles on their own scheme and not increase your overall status with Star Alliance.

I thought that perhaps there might be a reciprocal arrangement between members. If not, I hope it works out for you in the end.
