Hi All, I need to get some advice pls... I got married 3 weeks ago, and my husband has an IVA. As wedding gifts, we received lots of cheques payable to mr & mrs. As we do not have a joint acc, neither of our banks will cash them! If we open a joing Savings account, will it financially link us? I have really good credit and we are in the process of moving, so I dont really want to risk affecting my rating. Any advice gratefully received!!!xxx

Is this something you need to notify his IVA supervisor or are they only nominal amountsHi, im Debtinfo, i am an ex insolvency examiner and over the years have personally dealt with thousands of bankruptcy cases.

I think Charco's suggestion might be workable - see if your OH's parents will pay the cheques into their account then pass on the funds to you to do as you think fit. If it is a substantial amount though then you might have to talk to your OH's IP.One life - your life - live it!0
