Post office have seemingly undercharged me for postage

I had to wait for a long time at the local post office today because their machines were down, and when I got to the front, I was charged 2.75, for an item I weighed that should cost 6.50 to send (nowhere near the borderlines of any categories) and the worker also charged 4.41 for something when it should have cost 7.06, going by the price guide online and the weight that came up on the scales instore, I queried both of these but she dismissed them.
I'm a bit worried that these parcels will come to the recipients houses as undercharged, what should I do?

£2.75 is 501g-750g first class packet post.

£4.41 is UK standard parcel service up to 2kg.

Are you sure your scales are calibrated?

Get ready to grovel to your buyers, who will have to pay the extra postage & an extra £1 or something on top, if it's noticed by RM. I would be mighty peeved if I were your buyer. Especially if it's something that would go throught the letterbox & they have to collect from the sorting office. If it gets through without extra charges then the buyer may not be happy if they feel they've been overcharged p&p.
Instead of just querying the price I would have told the clerk that she had made a mistake.

The item being sent first class weighed around 1.5 kilograms, I think, so should have cost around that amount.
The item being sent by standard parcels weighed over 2 kilograms (and I know that for a fact because I saw it on the little electronic display at the post office)

And in reply to the other answer, these weren't items that could fit through a letterbox, they were quite sizeable. I could have told her that she made a mistake, but I didn't think , really.
Thanks for your answers so far :)

As a personal customer, you cannot send anything over 1kg first class.

Only business customers can use 1st class over this weight.

first class over the counter goes up to 4kg (which is £8.22). There is no restriction at that weight.

My apologies, too long in the shadows of old RM account sheets. I've just seen it actually goes now up to 20kg. 2nd class is capped at 1kg.
