Any antiques experts on here?

Just wondering if I can be cheeky and ask if anyone happens to know much about chinese (I think?) writing, valuations of chinese pottery (possibly bone china?)

We've found some pieces in our loft from a previous occupant but can't even begin to translate the writing on the bottom of the pieces as it appears to be in Chinese. Anyone know where I could get advice (ideally just over email with photos!) and ideally not have to pay for the privelege? I've seen some websites but they all charge. Anyone happen to know of any or indeed anyone on here that thinks they might be able to help, please let me know, I'll happily send photos!

I use this website: http://www.gotheborg.com/ they have loads of illustrations of marks, and I know it's tedious but I usually just browse through the pictures to find a mark. They do offer a search service for a small fee.

You could put the piccy's on photobucket or somewhere else and post a link, I'm sure there are loads of armchair detectives on here who might have a quick look for you.
