Baxi warranty for replacement parts

Following on frm my last thread, it appears that the timer clock/wireless remote is faulty causing the problem with my boiler. This item was replaced last Sept when my boiler was still in it's 2 year warranty. When they replaced this, I was advised that I would have a 12 month warranty on the 2 new parts that were replaced (but not the rest of the boiler).

Rang Baxi today and they've said that it's not covered, even though the part was installed less than 12 months ago. Is this the case?

Surely, if I'd paid for the part in Sept, it would come with a 12 month warranty, so why would this be different, as I received it free/within my warranty?

Thanks for any/all advice.........

I can't comment on individual manufaturers warranty stipulations, but generally somewhere in the small print there is a paragraph stating that any new part replaced under warranty will only be covered for the remaining period of warranty.

I agree it does not seem right, but thats the way they seem to make it.
