Two Faulty PCs from Dixons/HP What Rights?

HELP!
I purchased two HP pc's in April 2009. The PC's were faulty from day one with a list of problems. Dixons refused to replace and denied there was a fault? It took until August 2009 for the tech guys to come out and recognise faults.
SIX repairs and replacements were madee to BOTH computers.
The computers remained faulty and problomatic.
Made complaints to both Dixons and HP with no success.
Due to illl health, PC's were not used until January this year.
Discovered that yet another fault had occurred with BOTH computers.
Spent two weeks "troubleshooting" no success
Spent two days on phone with technical support (as also had extended warranty).
Technical support were unable to rectify the fault.
Complaints made to both manufacturer and retailer.
Have given proof of faults inherent since day one.
HP sent out e mail recognising one of the faults.
Terrible customer service.
Have been told today that HP do not have to comply with consumer law?
The PCS are NOT fit for purpose, have given it a reasonable time to rectify faults ( April 2009 - June 2010).
Have requested PCs be replaced.
Have been told by both Dixons and HP that they will NOT repolace the PCS.
Have written and followed every guideline and checked our rights. Have been told that the law does not apply to us as we have a warranty that only offers repair.
Repair is not possible????
Going around in circles, very frustrating. Am registered disabled and require pcs to function and to be able to communicate with outside world.
Can any one suggest what we can do. Dixons and Hewlett PAckard are not willing to take responsibilty at all.
Clearly, two pc's faulty purchased and wish them rightly to be replaced or refunded as they have never functioned properly and are not fit for purpose.
Very stressed.
Feel that due to the amount of time and stress, feel also should be compensated for complete lack of right resolution.
Does anyone have any suggestions or help please.
Thank you

HP are right in that they don't have to do anything. The contract is between you and dixons.

What are the faults with the computers?
