The T+Cs are here:-

The offer does not apply if you already hold a Reward Account.
So if your current account with Halifax is anything other than a Reward Account then you are eligible as long as you are switching from an account with another bank.0 -
Halifax pay you £5 a month, but don't forget it costs you £12.50 a month, a good deal?0

I believe minnes is incorrectly indicating the Reward Current Account costs £12.50 per month. The Ultimate Reward Current Account costs £12.50, and this account does not qualify for the £50 cashback via Moneysupermarket.com.
So to answer the question:_minnes wrote:Halifax pay you £5 a month, but don't forget it costs you £12.50 a month, a good deal?
Yes, this is a good deal, because the account does not cost £12.50 per month.
Link to details on the offer:

Darn, me and missus already have 3 of these accounts each, oh well, £37.50 for throwing 1K around 6 accounts for a few minutes a month isn't a bad deal either. The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0

Hrm, tempting. I could do the whole shift-1K-around thing for the first 1 or 2 months, but I'd rather not do it regularly. So I'd be gaining £50 (+£5 or £10), ditching Alliance & Leicester (!!!) and ditching <£1 monthly in credit interest. Worth it?0
