Recording DVD sountrack onto computer

I've got a couple of music DVDs (Matchbox 20, Newfound Glory, Yellowcard, Something Corporate if you must know) that I'd like to be able to listen to in the car, or even on the iPod. Is there anyway I can copy just the DVD audio to my computer to do this? Or any other creative suggestions? I remember once upon a time it was possible to run a video tape through my old stereo and record onto an audio tape, but now tape is pretty much redundant as I have nothing to play it on!

you could wire up your dvd player to your pc and then record the input source.
or ImToo do a DVD audio ripper.Ever stop to think and forget to start again?0 -
Audacity is a free program that will record anything you can hear through your computer speakers. You can then edit the recording and export it as a .wav or .mp3 file.
This will do the trick if you can play DVD's on your PC. Otherwise wire up your DVD player as woo suggests0 -
this will rip the audio for you. 30 day fully functioning trial
