The fight against 'link scammers' - Part 2

Recently I was bidding on a Samsung D500 from a seller with 100% positive feedback. Just before the end of the auction, the bid shot up to well over £500.
At first I thought it was a new bidder but discovered somebody with a 'me' page had bid to prevent somebody getting ripped off, as the 'me' page showed that he was trying to prevent a person using a hacked account getting a lot of money from someone and doing a runner. I'll dig the website out later
.
Anyway in a similar fashion I thought we could create our own 'shared' eBay account and maybe a little website too. Then we could all be on the lookout for the "Item ABC For £20" auctions and make the bid so high it cannot be outbid. Obviously the account may get a few negatives but we can leave negatives back and to be honest....Do the sellers have a leg to stand on?

Johmtea, can you explain that in simple terms as I don't quite understand what's going on.

Don't think that the neg feedback will make any difference:-
I heard from someone at the weekend that you can remove neg feedback, now not totally sure how it works but the principal is you contact a company in the USA if you have neg feedback pay them I was told $17 they contact the person who left you the feedback and give them seven days to reply to the e-mail, they ask loads of questions about the deal etc, any how if the person does not answer in 7 days the feedback is removed, this is how so many of the large sellers all have 100% feedback.0 -
The company that mariejader is referring to is Square Trade. I know all about it as I recently had a transaction with a seller who ripped me off. I obviously left him bad feedback. He filed a case with square trade to get me to remove the feedback. unfortunately for him I replied to the case so his plan didn't work. What did I do at work before I discovered MSE?!

What's a "me" page?...somebody with a 'me' page ...0 -
I tried using Square Trade when a product I paid for didn't arrive and the " would be " seller refused to answer my e mails. He refused to answer their e mails too and that was that. I tried to leave negative feedback but he's cancelled his account and no doubt now using another name. Yes I did check his feed back first. It was good. That was before I had paypal and I sent him a cheque. Never had a problem before so no reason not to trust him. Am I allowd to post his addresss?xela_17 wrote:The company that mariejader is referring to is Square Trade. I know all about it as I recently had a transaction with a seller who ripped me off.
