I've got new potatoes (charlotte) in a potato bag planter on the decking, the leaves are just about at the top of the bag now so have had their last covering up with soil. i know I need to waiti for them to flower but do I need to wait for the flowers to die back beforw harvesting? I've seen so many conflicting articles that I'm very confused! thanks for any help

My 1st earlies went into containers late Feb and March and we have been eating them since the first week of May. None have got to flowering point yet. It is a smaller crop than if I'd left them to grow on that's all. I like to use them fresh as I need them rather than store them.No longer half of Optimisticpair
