"Write a cheque by your October 2006 statement and get a promotional rate of 0.0% per annum until your May 2007 statement date."

Have had the card since February 2004. Never had a single charge on the card, all green 0's on my credit file. As mentioned, over £25k has been across the card.

Again, thats interesting. Basically, I needed to fly 3 times a month with bmi and my company wouldnt give me a credit card and had to get my own and submit expenses claims. So I was spending up to £2.5k per month on work expenses and paying it off in full each month until march this year. My credit limit was as high as £6k, but I changed that down to £2k last october and requested an increase to £3k in march when things got busy again. I havent been offered any promo deals at all, even though I didnt take up the original 9 months 0%.

If you have no promotional rates on your account then call 0800 7831116 and they will apply one for you. :) even if you are offered a mail rate then call and see if they can better it, they may even waive the fee as I know that MBNA is struggling for cash at present and the yield margin has gone so they can offer zero percent for up to 12 months :)

Thanks for thinking of me! Don't need any 'tips' until Jan/Feb thanks dazed.

Managed to bag a couple of 2nd repeats recently...

    0% for 6 months, £35 BT fee
0.9% for 6 months, fee waived

...but I would love to know how I could get 12 months (in one go, and without applying again)!!! ;)

have less than 600£ balance and then call the number above and if your account meets the criteria then away you go.

(criteria is near enough waived atm as they need the cash to keep investors happy)

I will find out more tomorrow ;)
