Town & City Parking Ltd - Parking ticket at Asda Cardiff

Hi Guys,

Went to the Stereophonics gig in Cardiff last night. They were charging a tenner to park at the ground but I saw a retail park/Asda near by and thought I'd park there and save myself £10. There were signs up saying a maximum of 2 hours on match days but as it's now close season for football I though it would be ok. After a cracking night I came back to find a parking ticket on my window!

I'm sure there were more people than just me that parked there instead of paying £10.

Should I just ignore it as most people have been advised on here or appeal?

Cheers,

Rich

Please look at the many posts on here and pepipoo.com ref town and city (and others) and you will see its best to ignore them. Don't appeal, contact, reply or pay.

    IGNORE.

Can you also, when you receive your letters, which you will do, scan them as they come in and post on here.

I believe there arnt copies of the letters from this company.

I have tried to get some myself in ASDA carpark but no joy.
I all have learnt is from others on many sites.
    Seek legal help if unsure.
Dont pay Private Parking tickets - they are mere invoices.

    PRESS THANKS
    }
  • Cheers to you both. I will store the letters and scan them on here when I get them.

    Cheers,

    Rich

If you do get a mo to post scans of those letters, please think about putting them on this thread:

    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/2214803

Or just pm Crabman with the letters and he'll post them up in the Hall of Shame in his first post, we don't have examples of Town & City Parking Ltd letters shown on there yet so it would make a nice addition to the thread.

BTW did they quote a VAT number and Company number/registered address on their letters? If not report 'em of course!
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

If you are a Cardiff City fan you should pay immediately :) only kidding they are scam artists as mentioned
Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?

Oh, I just binned all of mine - didn't think - sorry!

I then started getting letters from a solicitor. (AA Hutton I think?)

Then it moved onto phone calls. I kept getting messages on my house phone asking me to call a number regarding a very important business matter...lol.

Eventually they got hold of me. He asked for me by name. I said it was me. He asked me to confirm my address. I asked him who he was. He told me that as soon as I confirmed my name he'd tell me what the matter was about!!

He gave me the company name. I told him that meant nothing to me and I needed to know what the matter was about before I would continue the conversation.

We went round in circles for several minutes :D

He told me I was being silly and as soon as I confirmed my address he could continue the conversation. He informed me I had received several letters from them and I knew exactly what this was about.

I told him I had no idea and I thought he was being ever so silly expecting me to give out personal details to someone who was being so vague.

And again, we went round in circles for several more minutes :D

He told me that I would be hearing from them within the next 3 days with all the necessary information as I was so unwilling to co-operate.

I said that was very nice and thank you very much for being so kind in writing me a letter :)

    He hung up.

Haven't heard another thing since...that was at least 2 months ago.

Original Asda car park ticket was a year ago.
Sometimes it's important to work for that pot of gold...But other times it's essential to take time off and to make sure that your most important decision in the day simply consists of choosing which color to slide down on the rainbow...
