New York - Package Holiday

Hi Guys,

I'm looking to book a holiday in November for 7 days in New York.

There doesn't appear to be a lot of tour operators on-line that seem to offer package holidays to New York apart from Virgin?

I'd really like to stay at the "Renaissance Hotel New York" Hotel. Can anyone recommend any other tour operators that can provide accommodation in this Hotel?

Am I best using a high street travel agent?

Thanks in advance,

Carl

Why dont you book the flight and the hotel separately?

If you use Thomas cooks site, they will put the package together for you. Cor, its a bit expensive that hotel :) Go there and enter the departure airport and other details. Ive used London and a date of 7 November which is a weekend. Try other dates for cheaper flights.

From London - they are giving a price of £3152 for two people flying from London.

    Nov 6 - 13 (7th is Sunday) Total

    Expedia - £3011.
    Opodo - £3171
    Ebookers - £2844

There are lots of other sites (Travelocity, netflights...)

I always found (going back 3 or 4 years mind) that using a combination of Expedia (for hotels) and Ebookers (for flights) was cheapest

    Good luck!

However, Virgin holidays would seem to be cheaper at just less than £2,600.

Well, looks like Virgin would be best anyway if you want to fly from their departure airport? I didnt realise they had the hotel you wanted.

See if the cash back sites are any help aswell if you use Virgin.

Ive just run a quote on there:

Your holiday to: USA and Canada
    • Leaving on 05 Nov 2010
    • Staying for 7 nights
    • 2 adults
Your hotel: Renaissance Hotel 57, New York
Your flight: A return flight from Heathrow is included.
    Total price for 2 adults

Why dont you try the Beat this quote board on here to see if you can save any more?

american airlines have a sale on certain routes if booked by 25th june 2 adults travelling LHR-JFK on 5th Nov for 7 nights total cost of £874,booking seperate comes out more expensive than vhols but if you looked alternative hotels you could get a good deal.

i booked flights in last AA sale for £275 average price for 2 adults and a 2 year old, then booked the MAve hotel on madison avenue 6 nights for £800.in NYC you will not spend that much time in your hotel so in my opinion there is no point having a posh/expensive hotel.

link to the AA quote if it works.

We stayed at the Renaissance and booked the accommodation and flight through United Vacations website, if that helps.
    Fab hotel!
